Description: Celebrating those who bring the past to life, the award honours the wordsmiths who have dedicated their lives and careers to reminding us of our identity, our successes and our failures so that our future continues to grow strong. Past recipients include Charlotte Gray, the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering, CBC for Canada: A People's History, Peter Newman, Bob Johnstone, The CRB Foundation for The Heritage Minutes, Jacques Lacoursiere, James H.Gray, and of course, Pierre Berton himself.

Further Details: In addition to the name and address of the nominee, nominations must be accompanied by detailed information in support of the candidate. A biography or curriculum vitae, newspaper or magazine articles, or letters of support outlining the achievements of the nominee would be welcome. There is no entry fee or form.
