Description: C.B. Macpherson Prize-- This is a biennial award given to the author of the best book published within the previous two years, in either official language, in the field of political theory. No textbooks, edited texts, collections of essays, or works created by multiple authors will be considered. Donald V. Smiley Prize-- This annual award is given to the author of the best book published in the previous year, in either official language, in a field relating to the study of government and politics in Canada. Vincent Lemieux Prize-- This biennial award is given to the author of the best PhD thesis submitted at a Canadian university, in English or in French, in any subfield of political science. John McMenemy Prize-- This annual award is given to the author or authors of the best article, in English or French, in the Canadian Journal of Political Science. Jill Vickers Prize- This annual award is given to the author or authors of the best paper presented at the previous year's conference of the Canadian Political Science Association on the topic of gender and politics.
