Fame and FortuneJeanne Sauvé Foundation Scholarships: Sauvé ScholarsEligibility: The Program seeks highly-motivated candidates who have completed their undergraduate education, or the equivalent, but have not necessarily attained an advanced degree. Focusing on the, as yet, unrealized potential of their youth, but with a solid academic or experiential foundation, candidates should be under thirty years of age. Preference will be given to candidates currently practicing in a field of journalism or communication that has given them a vehicle for personal expression. This includes print, television, radio, electronic media, public or political debate and film. They will be expected to submit evidence of their authorship of works in these fields. Candidates approved by McGill are then forwarded to the Foundation for selection of the final twelve individuals. Value: SCHOLARS will be awarded a stipend valued at $30,000 Canadian for travel, tuition, housing, meals and supplies at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. In addition, the Program provides the costs of group excursions to academically and culturally stimulating sites in the northeastern United States, as well as adventure trips in Canada's dramatic north.
